Barker is a thriving and busy school and in 2022 we celebrated the fact that we are now coeducational from Pre-K to Year 12.

- An Indigenous Darkinjung Barker Campus in Yarramalong, NSW (established 2016)

Groundsperson

Barker College is currently seeking a Groundsperson based at our Hornsby campus.
This will be a full time role commencing as soon as possible.
Manage Sportsfield Turf surfaces and surrounding gardens, with a wide variety of ride-on machinery and tools, with an experienced Grounds Team.
Mathematics Teacher

Barker College is seeking to appoint an experienced Mathematics Teacher located on our Hornsby Campus.
This will be a permanent full-time (1.0FTE) role commencing 1 January 2026.
Barker College runs an orientation event for new staff on 22 January 2026, prior to the whole staff returning for Professional Development on 27 January 2026.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong academic background and have a passion for Mathematics. The ability to teach up to and including HSC Extension 1 and 2 Mathematics may be an advantage.
Individual Learning Teacher (Yr7-12)

Barker College is currently seeking an experienced Individual Learning Teacher based at our Hornsby campus.
This will be a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) role commencing 1 January 2026.
Barker College runs an orientation event for new staff on 22 January 2026, prior to the whole staff returning for Professional Development on 27 January 2026.
The role of the Individual Learning Teacher is focused on supporting the needs of a diverse range of students who, may require a personalised approach to their learning. Students with diverse needs are incorporated within a multi-tiered system for support framework, which is developed within the whole school context and reflects Barker’s strategic teaching and learning priorities.
Design & Technology Teacher

Barker College is currently seeking an experienced Design & Technology Teacher based at our Hornsby campus.
This will be a permanent full-time role commencing 1 January 2026 (New Staff Orientation is 22 January 2026).
The successful applicant will be qualified to deliver engaging and effective lessons in Stage 4 Technology and Stage 5 Design and Technology. While the ability to teach at Stage 6 is not a requirement, it would be considered an asset and may present future opportunities for professional growth within the department.
Dhupuma Barker Learning Support Teacher

Outdoor Instructor - The Grange

Barker College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Outdoor Instructor to join the team at The Grange - Barker College’s Outdoor Education in Mount Victoria
This will be a 0.8 FTE role commencing 27 January 2026.
The successful applicant will have the necessary qualifications and experience in Outdoor Education and will also have relevant experience in working with young people in challenging environments. They will join a small team of dedicated outdoor professionals in a collaborative, supportive and dynamic environment.
