We Left our Hearts in San Francisco
This Vespa scooter represents a shared interest and time between my dad and I.
Having old car parts hanging around due to my dad’s love of fixing up vintage cars and scooters as well as our time as a family living in San Francisco have influenced my work. The psychedelic art movement of the 1960s that occurred in San Francisco is materially recognisable through the painting of the surface of this object, using bright colours and imagery that wraps around it. Influential artists include: Patricia Piccinini, David Hockney.
