I’m not, I’m maybe, I AM!
My body of work is made up of a series of self-portraits that investigate various moments of exasperation and frustration. I wanted to use charcoal to symbolise the grittiness of these emotions.
The material qualities of my artwork represent the raw emotions and vulnerability one feels in these moments. These are not sanitised images. The marks are made with great pressure indicative of my emotional state. The positioning of each image helps to illustrate the confusion and anxiety of these times.
