The Shifting Tides of Congo
Through a series of intimate watercolour paintings, I have explored the nostalgia connected to the natural environment of Eurobodalla National Park in NSW, a campground known as ‘Congo’.
My personal connection to this location, visited frequently on family holidays has meant I have viewed this place and have witnessed its change over time. Each composition aims to depict my viewpoint and my experience with this beachside location. With each tide, sand bank and shrub being documented in a moment, just like a polaroid picture.
