Trapezoidal Coffee Table with Glass Top
This geometric, modern interpretation of a coffee table was produced using American Rock Maple and American Black Walnut.
The visually striking angles were designed using Computer Aided Design software, allowing for the ‘Meet at a Point’ joints to be manufactured using a CNC router, in conjunction with traditional woodworking methods. The expansive panes of glass provide a functional aspect while highlighting critical ‘Cross Halving’ joint. Seamlessly implemented drawers, reinforced by ‘dovetail’ joinery provides additional functionality through traditional joinery methods.
